Introduction

Building Blocks

Overview

Nifty Learning helps you deliver a complete learning experience to your employees. In order to do that we base our features on simple building blocks that enable more complex workflows.

Learning Content

Each learning flow starts with a specific type of content that dictates how the platform will approach interactions between learners and educational materials. At the moment we cover seven different types of content.

Learners

As the name might tell, learners are the ones that interact with the various types of content, either through the actual platform or through live activities. In Nifty they are treated as a top level entity with specific functionalities that help you manage them.

Learners can be adapted to your needs with dynamic attributes to reflect the structure that you might already use and, depending on your current setup, they can be actively synchronized using our integrations.

You can also add them the to groups based on custom criteria and use those groups for bulk actions, tracking and assignments.

Learning Sessions

The association between a learner and a type of content can be thought of as a learning session. It is basically the actual process of learning that translates in Nifty to a specific model.

Each learning session works in a particular way depending on it's content.

Take for example an elearning course. This scenarios is as simple as it gets. A learner that accesses a course determines the creation of an elearning session. That session will record all the information about the learners' progress through that material.

On the other hand, if we are looking at someone attending a live activity, that, in "Nifty talk", can be thought as an attendance at live session. A live session provides, besides utilities for event management, a grouping of multiple learning sessions that take place at the same time.

These are just some small examples of the dynamics of learning in Nifty. You can go through each section for a more in depth read about how each component works, why are they made to work this way, and how you can accomplish your tasks.
